We had the pleasure to help designing a new handle bar adapter for a friends kid. We got all feedback from him, as he had already one, but one that did not allow him to drive the bike comfortably.
The old design worked, but it was sometimes painful for him to turn the handlebar in tight angles and he was not enjoying riding his bike.
We are proud to say that we managed to get a good solution and might be also useful for other kids / persons that would like to have a simple adapter.
Not without some failures unfortunately
But the final device was received very well and tested quiet successfully.
After his feedback we decided to improve the first version. Basically the play in the ball and socket joint was a bit too loose and the feeling of control of the handlebar was poor. This was fixed by cutting a slit in the socket and adding a tightening screw to control the pressure / friction on the ball therefore giving more confident to our young driver.
